Only 13 days remain for 2017 Dine Around Experiences and Special Events

February 28, 2017

Restaurants around the Valley are greeting new faces of patrons who are trying different dining locations as part of the 8th annual Comox Valley Dine Around, while several food & drink tours and events have sold out. With the final two weekends approaching of the event, now’s the time to plan out more culinary experiences.

With the first Sip and Savour Tour selling out, the second one will be held this Thursday, March 6. Hosted by Ambassador Transportation this culinary adventure includes tasty appetizers and a choice of wine or craft beer at three different restaurants in one night. To maximize the fun, locations are kept secret.

Sip Around continues to grow in popularity as 10 restaurants, pubs and breweries present the ultimate happy hour Friday’s and Saturday’s 4-6 pm, with feature cocktails and beverages. Sip Around locations include Atlas Cafe, Billy D’s Pub & Bistro, Blackfin Pub, Cornerstone Taphouse, Locals Restaurant, Prime Chophouse & Wine Bar, Red 21 Gaming Tap & Grill, The Waverly Hotel, Gladstone Brewing and Forbidden Brewing.

Next week, more featured special events abound with a range of tantalizing options for every taste.  Want to learn how to build your own specialty cocktail from a pro? Join Barbara Hansen, the long time General Manager at the Blackfin Pub at Cascadia Liquor Store, Wednesday March 8, as she takes attendees on a mixology tour of creative cocktails.

Thursday, March 9, don’t miss the Locals Long Table Dinner, one of the signature events of Dine Around. A five-course dining experience to remember, presented by Executive Chef Ronald St. Pierre and his culinary team, with the option to have wines paired with the meal.
